OGRA suggests reducing petrol prices

The summary has been sent to Finance and Petroleum Ministries for final approval.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 30th January, 2019) The petroleum prices are likely to be decreased by February 1.

According to media reports, a summary to decrease the petrol prices by Rs 0.5 per litre, High Speed Diesel by Rs 4 per litre, Light Diesel Oil by Rs 1 and Kerosene oil by Rs 2 per litre has been prepared.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has prepared the summary.

The summary has been sent to Finance and Petroleum Ministries for final approval.

The new petroleum prices will be announced after approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The government had earlier announced a cut in price of petrol for the month of January 2019 by Rs 4.86 per litre while that of High Speed Diesel by Rs 4.26.

The price of Kerosene oil was reduced by Rs 0.52 and that of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) by Rs 2.16 per litre, a finance ministry statement said.
