MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th January, 2019) A young man with a suspected case of Ebola was transferred to isolation in the clinic for infectious diseases at Sweden's Uppsala University Hospital on Friday, local media reported, citing officials.

The authorities of the county of Uppsala said that the test results would "probably come back at some point tonight," stressing that Ebola was "still only a matter of suspicion, other diseases are also entirely possible," according to TheLocal.se portal.

The media outlet added that a hospital in the Swedish town of Enkoeping where the patient was initially admitted to, had been temporarily closed, with medical staff who treated the man undergoing a check-up.

Meanwhile, local media reported, citing the Uppsala health authorities, that three weeks ago, the patient returned from a trip, and the eastern African state of Burundi was among the countries he visited. It is reportedly unclear whether he had visited areas affected by the Ebola outbreak.
