Majority of Ukrainians Think Country Moving in Wrong Direction - Poll

About 70 percent of Ukrainians believe that their country is moving in the wrong direction, citing the ongoing conflict in eastern Donbas region, price hikes and corruption as examples of this, a poll published Friday revealed.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th December, 2018) About 70 percent of Ukrainians believe that their country is moving in the wrong direction, citing the ongoing conflict in eastern Donbas region, price hikes and corruption as examples of this, a poll published Friday revealed.

The survey, conducted by the Democratic Initiatives foundation together with non-governmental think tank Razumkov Center, also revealed that only 18 percent out of 2,017 respondents positively assessed the country's path.

The poll was carried out on December 19-25 across Ukraine and has a margin of error of up to 2.3 percentage points.

A survey conduced by the same pollster and issued on December 21 showed that the majority of Ukrainians shared a pessimistic outlook on life and described their hardships as great or even unbearable.
