Representatives of the European Union and Africa on Tuesday will sign two agreements, one on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and another one on the African free trade area, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 18th December, 2018) Representatives of the European Union and Africa on Tuesday will sign two agreements, one on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and another one on the African free trade area, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said."Today, we are going to be signing two agreements, which are very important. First of all, a guarantee program for the investment program for SMEs. The commission has contributed 75 million Euros [$85 million] to this ... The second agreement is about a free trade area for Africa and the amount which is being allocated is 50 million euros for this very important program," Juncker said at a press conference at the High-Level Africa-Europe forum on Tuesday.
The forum started in the Austrian capital on Monday and will conclude later on Tuesday. The event is aimed at expanding the cooperation between the bloc and the African countries beyond tackling the migration crisis.
