BRUSSELS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 17th December, 2018) The Russian Centre for Science and Culture (RCSC) in Brussels plans to open a certification center of Russian as a foreign language in 2019, the center's head Vera Bunina told Sputnik on Monday.
The RCSC is a representative office of the Russian Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudichestvo) in Belgium.
"The idea to create creating a certification center for Russian as a foreign language in accordance with the European system of foreign language proficiency is sparking huge interest. We are going to hold the first testing session in May 2019," Bunina said.
She also noted that among other areas of the center's activity in 2019, the RCSC will be focusing on presenting Russian innovations and new technologies as well as theatre culture of Russia.
