SIMFEROPOL (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 17th December, 2018) The Syrian delegation confirmed that it will visit Crimea in April 2019 to participate in the Yalta International Economic Forum (YIEF), Georgy Muradov, the deputy prime minister of the Crimean government, told Sputnik on Monday.
The Syrian delegation was invited to attend the forum, scheduled for April 18-20, in October during the visit of a Crimean delegation to Damascus.
"The Syrian side confirmed its visit to Crimea and participation in the fifth Yalta International Economic Forum," Muradov said.
He also noted that the invitation to visit the YIEF was inked in the final protocol of the last meeting of the Russian-Syrian intergovernmental commission in Damascus earlier in December.
Muradov added that it was the first time when Crimea's representatives were officially invited to partake in the commission's meeting.
