At Least 75 Palestinians Injured During Clashes With IDF In Gaza Strip - Health Ministry

GAZA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th December, 2018) At least 75 Palestinians were injured on Friday in clashes with Israeli troops near the Gaza Strip border, Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf Qedra said.

"Total of 75 Palestinians, including seven ambulance employees and a journalist, were injured in clashes with Israeli soldiers on the eastern borders of the Gaza Strip," Qedra said.

The number of Palestinians injured in clashes with the Israeli troops has significantly decreased over the past three weeks. Local residents say that the trend is explained by the massive financial aid provided by Qatar, Egyptian mediation efforts as well as Israeli readiness to carry out a military operation against the Palestinians in case of further escalation of tensions.

Tensions between the Israelis and the Palestinians near the Gaza border have been mounting since late March, which marked the beginning of the Great March of Return. Hundreds of Palestinians, including children, have been killed by Israeli troops since then.
