MILAN (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th December, 2018) The United States, as the largest financial contributor to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), is interested in the organization's strengthening, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell said Thursday.
"The OSCE remains a crucial element of the European Security. The United States helped to build this architecture. We are the largest financial contributor to the OSCE. And we are committed to strengthening it," Mitchell said at the 25th OSCE Ministerial Council.
The 25th OSCE Ministerial Council, the organization's most important annual event gathering together ministers of foreign affairs of the participating countries and 11 partner states, is currently taking place in Milan.
