Qasr Al Muwaiji hosts Royal Bisht and the Archaeological Excavation workshops

S part of its commitment to promoting heritage and preserving rich traditions of the UAE, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has held ‘Royal Bisht’ and ‘Archaeological Excavation’ workshops at Qasr Al Muwaiji in Al Ain.

AL AIN, (Pakistan Point News - 22nd Nov, 2018) As part of its commitment to promoting heritage and preserving rich traditions of the UAE, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has held ‘Royal Bisht’ and ‘Archaeological Excavation’ workshops at Qasr Al Muwaiji in Al Ain.

The Royal Bisht workshop explored the exquisite bishts especially hand-tailored for Emirati rulers and adorned with various patterns of gold or silver thread with participants having the opportunity to try their hand at sewing while taking in the beauty of some stunning bishts currently on display at Qasr Al Muwaiji.

Meanwhile, Emirati archaeologists from DCT Abu Dhabi guided participants during the Archaeological Excavation workshop on how to work on an archaeological site using a simulated dig site.

The ongoing Royal Bisht workshops will be held every Tuesday until December 18th, 2018 while the Archaeological Excavation workshop will be held every Wednesday until December 26th, 2018.
