Asia-Pacific States Interested in Russia Digital TV Transition Experience -Deputy Minister

The countries in the Asia-Pacific region are showing a great interest in Russia's experience in switching from analog to digital television, Alexey Volin, the Russian Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, said on Thursday.

KUALA LUMPUR (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd November, 2018) The countries in the Asia-Pacific region are showing a great interest in Russia's experience in switching from analog to digital television, Alexey Volin, the Russian Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, said on Thursday.

Volin is attending the Valdai Discussion Club conference, titled "A changing Asia in a Transforming World" in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.

"We saw a great interest [of Asia-Pacific countries] in Russia's digital television experience in the end of this year - the beginning of next year we are concluding the transition to digital broadcasting in Russia, where the world's biggest network of digital terrestrial television has been built," Volin said on the sidelines of the conference.

The minister added that the Asia-Pacific states were also willing to cooperate with the Russian broadcasters as well as producers of films and video games.
