Novatek Gas and Power Asia Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of the Russian gas producer Novatek, has made the first delivery of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Yamal LNG project to the Chinese company China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), Novatek said in a press release on Tuesday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 13th November, 2018) Novatek Gas and Power Asia Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of the Russian gas producer Novatek, has made the first delivery of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Yamal LNG project to the Chinese company China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), Novatek said in a press release on Tuesday."The LNG cargo required no ice-breaking support and was shipped to its final destination in a very short period of time at a commercially viable speed, once again confirming the effectiveness of our logistical model allowing for competitive LNG deliveries to the key consuming markets of the Asian-Pacific Region," Leonid Mikhelson, Novatek's chairman of the management board, said as quoted in the release.
The release specified that the cargo was delivered to the Chinese Fujian LNG terminal via the Northern Sea Route.
