Death Toll In California Wildfires Rises To 25 - Reports

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th November, 2018) The number of people, who died as a result of wildfires in the western US state of California, increased up to 25, local media reported.

Local officials said that the bodies of 14 more victims had been found in the ashes of the devastating Camp Fire in northern California, making the number of victims of the blaze 23, the NBC news broadcaster reported on Saturday.

Two more people were killed by the Woolsey Fire in the southern part of the state.

Three major fires are currently raging in California, with the Camp Fire hitting its north, and the Woolsey Fire and the Hill Fire hitting its south. The disaster, which started on Thursday and quickly spread across the state, has already destroyed about 7,000 buildings and devastated more than 42,000 hectares of the state's territory.

On Saturday, US President Donald Trump declared a state of emergency in California.
