Russia's new Mi-38T military helicopter, designed for airborne troops, made its maiden flight on Saturday, Russian Helicopters CEO Andrey Boginsky said Thursday.
ZHUHAI (China) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 08th November, 2018) Russia's new Mi-38T military helicopter, designed for airborne troops, made its maiden flight on Saturday, Russian Helicopters CEO Andrey Boginsky said Thursday.
"On November 3, we had the first 'hovering' of the Mi-38, which was made for the military. We have a contract with the Ministry of Defense to supply two [Mi-38T] vehicles next year," Boginsky told reporters on the sidelines of the AirShow China exhibition.
The Mi-38T is different from the original Mi-38 helicopter in that it comes with additional fuel tanks to allow a wider flight range and can be fitted with means of military communication.
