US Secretary of Homeland Security Kirsten Nielsen has been informed about suspicious devices sent to former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama as well as CNN offices in New York, Department of Homeland Security said on Wednesday.
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th October, 2018) US Secretary of Homeland Security Kirsten Nielsen has been informed about suspicious devices sent to former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama as well as CNN offices in New York, Department of Homeland Security said on Wednesday.
"Secretary Nielsen has been briefed on the suspicious packages and is monitoring the situation," it said in a Twitter message.
The Secret Service, FBI and New York Police Department confirmed earlier on Wednesday that authorities had intercepted possible explosive devices sent to Obama, Clintons and CNN.
CNN reported that the package sent to its offices was addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan.
