The number of those in Russia with a very negative attitude toward the United States has increased by almost 10 percent since July amid the continuing strain in Russian-US relations, a fresh poll revealed on Tuesday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 16th October, 2018) The number of those in Russia with a very negative attitude toward the United States has increased by almost 10 percent since July amid the continuing strain in Russian-US relations, a fresh poll revealed on Tuesday.
A total of 21 percent of those surveyed have replied that their sentiment on the United States is "very bad" to a question on "what do you in general think of the United States right now," while in July this number stood at 12 percent, according to the Russian polling organization Levada-Center.
Over 30 percent said that their attitude towards Washington is "mostly good", which is an 8-percent fall from the results in July.
At the same time, only 3 percent of Russians think "very good" of the United States and 12 percent have found it difficult to respond, the results indicated.
The poll was held in September with 1,600 people aged over 18 surveyed in 52 Federal subjects of Russia. The survey was conducted through a personal interview. The error margin stands at around 3 percent.
