High-Level Delegations From Seoul, Pyongyang To Hold Talks On Monday - Reports

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th October, 2018) South Korean and North Korean delegations are set to hold on Monday bilateral consultations on the implementation of the agreements reached by the two countries' leaders in September during their third inter-Korean summit, local media reported on Sunday, citing the South Korean Unification Ministry.

The Yonhap News Agency reported, citing the ministry, that the South Korean delegation would be led by Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon and will comprise five people, including three deputy ministers. The meeting will take place in the Panmunjom border village, on its southern side, the news outlet added.

The delegation from Pyongyang will be led by Cho's North Korean counterpart, Ri Son-gwon, and will include three deputy ministers as well.

The two sides are set to discuss the establishment of the survey of railways and roads in North Korea and touch upon the creation of the two Koreas' joint military committee, the outlet reported.

According to the news outlet, the delegations are also expected to discuss the date and place for Red Cross consultations aimed at establishing contact between relatives separated during the Korean war over 60 years ago.

The most recent inter-Korean summit was held in Pyongyang on September 18-20. During the summit, the two sides agreed to start working to connect their roads and railways before the end of the year, among other agreements.
