MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th September, 2018) Clashes between members of the Tuareg people have left 27 people dead and one more person injured, the Malian Ministry of Internal Security and Civil Protection said on Thursday.
The clashes occurred in the Inekar settlement, located in the southeastern Malian region of Menaka, on the night into Wednesday.
"This sad event has claimed 27 lives and left one person injured," the statement, which the ministry posted on Twitter, read.
The Malian authorities have sent gendarmes and a military unit to the location in order to stabilize the situation and investigate into the motives of the incident.
