Moscow welcomes the agreements reached during the talks between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in in Pyongyang, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.

The inter-Korean summit was held in North Korean capital on September 18-20.
"We welcome the agreements reached during the talks between the leaders of North and South Korea in Pyongyang on September 18-20. In the Pyongyang joint declaration adopted at the inter-Korean summit , the parties reaffirmed the desire to turn the Korean peninsula into a zone of peace and agreed to increase cooperation in the political, military, economic and humanitarian spheres," the ministry said in a commentary.
According to the commentary, the decisions taken at the summit are in line with the "road map" of the Korean settlement developed by Russia and China.
"The Russian Federation has always supported the inter-Korean dialogue. We intend to continue to promote its development in the spirit of the documents signed by North and South Korea," the commentary said.
