Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 14th September, 2018) The funeral prayers of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz funeral were offered at Sharif Medical City playgrounds, Jati Umra today.

Begum Kulsoom will be buried alongside her father-in-law Mian Muhammad Sharif in the Jati Umra graveyard.
A large number of people, including politicians and party workers, attended the funeral prayers. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, former president Mamnoon Hussain, PMLQ leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, MQM's Farooq Sattar Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and PkMAP chief Mehmood Khan Azhakzai also reached Jati Umra to attend the funeral.
Former first lady Begum Kulsoom Nawaz's body had reached Allama Iqbal International Airport from London's Heathrow airport via PIA's flight PK- 758 early Friday morning.
Her body was escorted to her residence in Jati Umra in the morning from where it was shifted to Sharif Medical City’s cold storage.
Family members and PML-N's party leaders from London including Zakariya Hussain Sharif, Asma Dar, Haleema Dar, Usman Dar, Asif Baig Mirza, Khadija Mirza, Saira Saleh, Ijaz Gull, Samia Tariq, Nargis Butt had also come from London for funeral prayers.
Punjab police has made special security arrangements for the prayers.
Former first lady, Late Begum Kulsoom Nawaz had passed away on Tuesday afternoon after a long battle against throat cancer at a London Hospital.
