Russian Novatek gas producer is ready to consider the terms of participation of the Chinese CNPC in the Arctic LNG-2 project, similar to the French Total, Novatek chief executive Leonid Mikhelson said Tuesday
VLADIVOSTOK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th September, 2018) Russian Novatek gas producer is ready to consider the terms of participation of the Chinese CNPC in the Arctic LNG-2 project, similar to the French Total, Novatek chief executive Leonid Mikhelson said Tuesday.
"We have met with our CNPC partner, they have the same share in Yamal LNG as Total. They have started looking into the project [Arctic LNG-2] a little later than Total. We believe that since they are already partners in our existing project, we are ready to deal with them regarding entering the Arctic LNG-2 on the same conditions with Total," Mikhelson told reporters on the Eastern Economic Forum sidelines.
In May, Novatek signed an agreement with Total on acquiring a 10-percent share in the project with the possibility of increasing it to 15 percent.
