Kremlin Aide Says Unaware of Russian Diplomat Allegedly Assisting UK in Skripal Case

Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said on Tuesday that he was unaware of a Russian diplomat, who was allegedly recruited by the UK intelligence services and helped to identify people whom London suspects of being involved in the poisoning of Russian ex-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury.

VLADIVOSTOK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th September, 2018) Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said on Tuesday that he was unaware of a Russian diplomat, who was allegedly recruited by the UK intelligence services and helped to identify people whom London suspects of being involved in the poisoning of Russian ex-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury.

On Tuesday, the Daily Express reported citing intelligence sources that Russian nationals Andrey Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, who allegedly poisoned Skripals, were identified thanks to a Russian diplomat in Rome recruited by an MI6 agent.

"I have not heard anything about it," Ushakov told reporters, when asked to comment on media reports.
