GENEVA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th September, 2018) Russia hopes to continue consultations with UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura and two other guarantor states - Turkey and Iran - on Syria constitutional commission next month, head of the Russian delegation to the Geneva consultations, special presidential envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev told Sputnik Tuesday.
"Let's hope, " Lavrentiev said, asked if the guarantors would meet with de Mistura again in Geneva in October.
Russia, Turkey and Iran have just concluded quadrilateral meeting with de Mistura, during which constitutional commission and Idlib situation were reviewed. The meeting lasted around 2.5 hours.
At the moment, parties are heading to a working lunch.
The guarantors are represented by Lavrentiev and Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin, Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Onal and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Jaberi Ansari.
