December Launch From Vostochny Spaceport Will Not Be Delayed Due to Soil Voids - Roscosmos

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th September, 2018) Works to eliminate soil voids under the launch platform at Russia's Vostochny Cosmodrome will not affect the schedule for the next launch set for December, the Roscosmos press service said Monday.

Earlier in the day, Roscosmos said that soil voids had been found under the Soyuz-2 launch platform, noting that a contract for their elimination had already been concluded.

"Everything will be in accordance with the schedule, no delays, no problems. This is a technical issue that is being resolved, and this does not affect the launch," Roscosmos press service head Vladimir Ustimenko said.
