"One of my best meetings ever was with Vladimir Putin," the president said at Thursday's rally in Montana, as cited by the CNN.
According to Trump, the two leaders spoke about Ukraine, Syria, Israel and other pressing issues.
Putin and Trump met for their first full-fledged summit in Helsinki on July 16 to hold a one-on-one private conversation followed by an expanded meeting.
