US President Donald Trump and South Korean President Moon Jae-in spoke by phone to discuss efforts to denuclezarize North Korea and to schedule a meeting for later this month on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the White House confirmed in a statement on Tuesday.

"The President spoke with South Korean President Moon Jae-in this morning. The two leaders discussed the latest developments on the Korean Peninsula," the statement said. "They agreed to meet later this month on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York."
