MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th September, 2018) US information resources are "a millimeter away" from violating Russia's electoral laws, Moscow will inform the US authorities about it, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Andrei Nesterenko said Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, the Russian election, the Russian Central Election Commission (CEC) and Russia's Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) said that they had sent letters to Google warning against disseminating calls for protests on the election day, which is a violation of the Russian legislation.�
"Of course, we have a consensus here that the concept of electoral sovereignty is not only a concept, it must be a principle that is respected by all civilized states," Nesterenko told reporters, when asked whether Russia observed any US attempts to interfere in Russian elections.
The diplomat added that Moscow would inform "US partners that actions of their information resources are close to violation of Russian laws," noting that they were only "a millimeter away from violation."
