MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 03rd September, 2018) Rwandan Ambassador to Russia Jeanne d'Arc Mujawamariya told Sputnik that Rwandan President Paul Kagame had promised to come to Russia with a visit next year.
Kagame last visited Moscow in June to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"In a couple of months, maybe in one year, H.E. the president promised to come back to Russia, even if not this year, it may be next year," the ambassador said.
Rwanda and Russia enjoy friendly bilateral relations and intend to boost cooperation across a number of sectors, including trade, nuclear energy and defense. The two countries also hold consultations on the planned agreement between Russia and the African Union, of which Rwanda is currently a presiding member state.
