Journalist tells Imran Khan’s remarks on Khawar Maneka episode
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 3rd September, 2018) Prime Minister Imran Khan called on senior journalists last week.
Recalling the meeting, Irshad Bhatti in his recent column said that Prime Minister Imran Khan appeared unknown to the Pakpattan DPO matter.
The prime minister asked if he had asserted any pressure on the Punjab Inspector General or the chief minister.
Neither the PM House pressured anyone nor did the first lady, he said.
In fact, PM Imran Khan, first lady Bushra Maneka had warned him to stay away from the matter when police misbehaved with the Maneka family on August 5.
Bushra Bibi told me to stay away from this or it will give way to rumours and speculations.
The prime minister said that he had asked the principal secretary to take a report of the matter. Else, it’s a matter of IG level and he should resolve it, the prime minister added.
