Moscow treats the murder of Alexander Zakharchenko, the leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic in eastern Ukraine, as a terrorist act, Russian Foreign Minister spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st August, 2018) Moscow treats the murder of Alexander Zakharchenko, the leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic in eastern Ukraine, as a terrorist act, Russian Foreign Minister spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday.
Zakharchenko was killed in a bomb blast in a cafe in downtown Donetsk earlier in the day.
"Instead of implementing Minsk agreements and looking for means to settle the internal conflict, Kiev's party of war is implementing a terrorist scenario and aggravates the already-difficult situation in the region. Without fulfilling the peace promises, they decided to start a bloody slaughter," Zakharova told reporters.
The spokeswoman called for an impartial investigation monitored by the international community.
