Says the entire country awaits a helicopter that costs Rs 55 per kilometre.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 30th August, 2018) Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has given the cost of per minute travel on helicopter.

Following the nationwide debate on how much it costs to travel on a helicopter, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that a helicopter commute costs Rs 20,000 per minute.

Talking to media on Thursday, the PMLN leader said that the entire country awaits a helicopter that costs Rs 55 per kilometre.

In a rather surprising statement, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s helicopter commute to and from Bani Gala costs between Rs 50-55 per kilometre.

This had steered a debate on mainstream and social media as people were surprised as to how a helicopter commute can be so cheap.

Several leaders came up with their remarks following Fawad Chaudhry's statement.

PMLN leader Khawaja Asif said that the commute from Bani Gala to PM House is less than 2 kilometres. In this case, one round will cost Rs 100.

Meanwhile President Mamnoon Hussain said that it is impossible to travel in Rs 55 per kilometre on a helicopter.
