MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 30th August, 2018) The Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday published a video of the test-launch of a new PRS-1M interceptor missile.
Earlier on Thursday, the ministry reported that it had successfully test-fired the missile at the Sary Shagan anti-ballistic missile testing range in Kazakhstan.
The video that runs a little over one minute shows the missile driven to the range, prepared and then launched.
The new missile will replace older ones in Moscow's anti-missile defense, according to military expert Igor Korotchenko, the editor-in-chief of Natsionalnaya Oborona (National Defense) magazine.
