Russian luxury car brand Aurus, part of the Kortezh series of cars, will be presented for the first time on Wednesday, at Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS).
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 29th August, 2018) Russian luxury car brand Aurus, part of the Kortezh series of cars, will be presented for the first time on Wednesday, at Moscow International automobile Salon (MIAS).
Aurus Senat sedan and Aurus Senat Limousine will be put on display at 10:45 a.m. Moscow time (07:45 GMT) in the presence of Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov, Aurus' Managing Director Franz Gerhard Hilgert and the main engineer of the Kortezh series, Vadim Pereverzev.
The cars are already used by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Federal Protective Service, charged with the protection of Russian high-ranking state officials. The Aurus cars are expected to become available for sales to the general public in the beginning of 2019.
The Aurus cars will be presented to European market at the International Geneva Motor Show in 2019. The vehicles will be available for sale in Asia and the middle East in 2020. Retail prices are expected to start at 10 million rubles ($147,000).
The Kortezh project is carried out by the Russian central automotive institute in collaboration with Sollers company. According to Sollers Director General Vadim Shvetsov, only 50 to 70 cars will be sold in 2019.
