Israeli warplanes targeted multiple locations, including the Nabatieh al-Fawqa area as well as the eastern outskirts of the nearby town of Kfar Tebnit, repots National News Agency (NNA)
BEIRUT:(UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 17th, 2026) Israeli forces carried out a series of airstrikes in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, according to Lebanon’s state media, amid an already fragile regional ceasefire arrangement linked to the broader middle East conflict.
The National news Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli warplanes targeted multiple locations, including the Nabatieh al-Fawqa area as well as the eastern outskirts of the nearby town of Kfar Tebnit.
In a separate incident, a drone strike was also reported in the town of Ansariyeh in the Zahrani region, the agency added. Details regarding casualties or damage were not immediately available.
The reported strikes come despite ongoing ceasefire understandings in the region, raising concerns over continued cross-border tensions.
Iranian oil tankers reportedly leave US naval blockade zone: monitoring data
Iranian crude oil shipments reportedly exited a US naval-monitored blockade zone in the Gulf, according to maritime tracking data cited by TankerTrackers on Wednesday.
The tracking platform described the development as Iran’s first crude oil export movement in two months, based on satellite-supported monitoring and digital vessel tracking.
In a post on social media platform X, TankerTrackers said at least two very large crude carriers (VLCCs) belonging to the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC)—identified as DIONA and HERO2—had left the US naval surveillance perimeter.
The vessels are reported to be carrying a combined total of approximately 3.8 million barrels of Iranian crude oil.
The data, according to the monitoring group, was verified through satellite imagery and maritime tracking systems. No official confirmation has been issued by Iranian authorities or US naval command regarding the movement.
