NEW YORK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th August, 2018) Russian national Konstantin Yaroshenko, jailed by US authorities in Danbury, Connecticut, met with his wife and daughter for the first time in seven years, Russian Consulate General in New York Vice Consul Evgeniy Uspenskiy told Sputnik on Friday.
"Wife Victoria and daughter Ekaterina met with Konstantin," Uspenskiy said.
Uspenskiy noted that that the meeting was "very exciting" for the family.
"We've never seen him so excited," Uspenskiy said.
Yaroshenko was captured in Liberia in 2010, and was sentenced a year later in the United States to 20 years in prison on charges of conspiring to import drugs into the country. In 2016, the New York Court of Appeals refused to revise the pilot's sentence.
