MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th August, 2018) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Saudi counterpart Adel Jubeir will discuss economic cooperation between the two countries and investment projects at a meeting in Moscow next week, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said on Friday.
On Thursday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Lavrov and Jubeir would hold talks in Moscow on August 29 to discuss the situation in the middle East, particularly in Syria, Libya and Yemen.
"The relations are developing positively and successfully, there are contacts in every field, there are many interesting things, economic cooperation and investment projects," Bogdanov told reporters, adding that all these issues would be discussed during Jubeir's working visit to Moscow.
Saudi Arabian funds regularly seek investments in Russian economy, particularly, petroleum and agriculture sectors. Russian Direct Investment Fund CEO Kirill Dmitriev said in late June that he expected bilateral investment cooperation between the two countries to double over the next three years.
