MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th August, 2018) The gunman who opened fire on policemen in downtown Moscow on Thursday night was identified as a 31-year-old native of North Caucasus republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, a law enforcement source told Sputnik.
"He is a native of Kabardino-Balkaria, born in 1987," the source said.
The motives for his attack are still unknown, the source added.
According to the source, the wounded attacker is undergoing surgery in an intensive care unit at a Moscow hospital.
As a result of the shooting at Sivtsev Vrazhek lane in downtown Moscow, one of the police officer was wounded.
