TOKYO (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd August, 2018) A truck loaded with blasting powder went off on Thursday at a gravel pit in Japans Ibaraki Prefecture, local media reported.
The truck pulled up at a factory inside the open-pit mine when its load detonated, the NHK public broadcaster said, citing police and firefighters.
Authorities have been unable to get in touch with the driver. The powerful blast shattered windows in nearby houses. Police have launched a probe into the incident.
