Imran Khan wore a Sherwani by J. on oath-taking

In a post last night, J. wrote that Imran Khan paid a tribute to his late friend Junaid Jamshed by adorning one of J. sherwanis for the ceremony.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 21st August, 2018) Imran Khan took oath as the 22nd prime minister of Pakistan of August 18.

Imran Khan wore a black Sherwani on the occasion and looked as handsome as ever despite it being a little ill-fitted.

However, we now know where Imran Khan got this Sherwani from and it was none other than leading clothing brand J. by late Junaid Jamshed.

In a post last night, J. wrote that Imran Khan paid a tribute to his late friend Junaid Jamshed by adorning one of J. sherwanis for the ceremony.

“It is with great pride and zeal that we hail Imran Khan as our new Prime Minister. For us at J., the oath-taking ceremony was even more memorable owing to the fact that he chose to adorn one of our sherwanis for the proceedings. It truly is a homecoming of sorts for Mr. Khan, known to have been a very close friend of Junaid Jamshed (Late), and it is only fitting that he should mark this important day as a homage to his old friend,” it wrote.

Earlier, there were reports that Imran Khan will wear an old sherwani on the oath-taking as a part of his austerity drive. Following his victory in election, an order for a sherwani for Imran Khan was given to renowned tailoring shop Jalil Tailors and Drapers, famous for stitching ceremonial outfits for previous rulers of the country. However, the order was revised to stitching a waistcoat for the PTI chief but later it was also cancelled.
