1992 World Cup champions to be invited to Imran Khan’s oath-taking ceremony

The official invites will be sent after the final date of oath-taking is decided.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 6th August, 2018) The cricketing champions of 1992 World Cup will be invited to the oath-taking ceremony of prime minister-in-waiting Imran Khan.

According to media reports, a decision has been taken to invite the 1992 World Cup cricket team to the oath-taking ceremony of PTI chairman Imran Khan.

The official invites will be sent after the final date of oath-taking is decided.

Senator Faisal Javed said that Imran Khan wants to invite the winning team of 1992 World Cup. The cricketers of the 1992 world cup team, including Aamir Sohail, Aaqib Javed, Ijaz Ahmed, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Wahid Gaba, Javed Miandad, Moin Khan, Mushtaq Ahmed, Rameez Raja, Saleem Malik, Wasim Akram, Wasim Haider, Iqbal Sikandar and Zahid Fazal will be invited.

PTI chairman Imran Khan, who has secured a simple majority in the polls required to form his government, had expressed his desire to take the oath of prime minister on August 11.

The PTI emerged as the single largest party in the National Assembly with 116 general seats while with the addition of the general and reserved seats of its allies the party claimed to have secured at least 173 seats, whereas Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party won 64 and 43 general seats of the lower house, respectively.
