Karachi East (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi has won NA-243 with 91358 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate won in NA-243 Karachi East-ll constituency with 91358 votes. In 2013 general elections, Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan candidate Abdul Waseem was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 192638 votes.
The second runner up was Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Zahid Hussain Hashmi who got 29875 votes. At least 9 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in NA-243. In 2013 elections, there were 424198 voters registered in NA-243, out of which 245243 votes were polled out. In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 57.86 %.
