North Waziristan Agency (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Independent candidate Mohsin Javed has won NA-48 with 16496 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Independent candidate won in NA-48 North Waziristan Agency Tribal Area-lX constituency with 16496 votes. In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Makhdom Javed Hashmi was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 73878 votes.
The second runner up was Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Anjum Aqeel Khan who got 52205 votes. At least 51 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in NA-48. In 2013 elections, there were 292142 voters registered in NA-48, out of which 173968 votes were polled out. In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 59.55 %.
