Layyah (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Independent candidate Muhammad Tahir has won PP-282 with 37607 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Independent candidate won in PP-282 Layyah-III constituency with 37607 votes. In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Choudhary Zahid Akram was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 36993 votes. The second runner up was Mohajir Qaumi Movement Pakistan candidate Mian Abdul Wahid who got 23895 votes.
At least 19 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-282. In 2013 elections, there were 160693 voters registered in PP-282, out of which 101737 votes were polled out. In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 65.31 %.
