Rawalpindi (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Awami Muslim League Pakistan candidate Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has won NA-62 with 117719 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Awami Muslim League Pakistan candidate won in NA-62 Rawalpindi-Vl constituency with 117719 votes. In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Chaudhry Khadim Hussain was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 102230 votes.
The second runner up was Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Choudhry Muhammad Saqlain who got 62880 votes. At least 12 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in NA-62. In 2013 elections, there were 389451 voters registered in NA-62, out of which 216920 votes were polled out. In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 55.69 %.
