Ch Nisar loses both of NA seats to PTI

Ch Nisar has lost to PTI’s Ghulam Sarwar Khan who got 89,055 votes.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, contesting as an independent candidate in the general elections from NA-59 and NA-63, has lost to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to unofficial results announced on local tv channels, Ch Nisar has lost to PTI’s Ghulam Sarwar Khan who got 89,055 votes in NA-59 while former interior minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan got 66,369 votes.

Earlier, Ch Nisar lost to PTI’s Ghulam Sarwar Khan in NA-63 as well. Ghulam Sarwar won with 64,301 votes while Ch Nisar stood second with 48,497 votes. PMLN’s Sardar Mumtaz Khan stood third with 22,475 votes.

Polling across the country was held on Wednesday, July 25, for general elections 2018. Polling began at 8am in the morning and concluded at 6pm in the evening.

The nation elected 270 members of the National Assembly and 570 members of all the four provincial assemblies for the next five-year term.

Around 105.95 million eligible voters – 59.22 million male and 46.73 million female – exercised their right to vote to mark another democratic transition from one elected government to another.

About 1,1673 candidates are vying for 270 national and 570 provincial assemblies seats.

According to unofficial results announced so far, Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is in a winning position and is likely to form a majority government.

In what will probably be his victory speech, PTI chairman Imran Khan will address the nation at 4pm today.
