PMLN’s Abid Sher Ali loses to PTI in NA-108 Faisalabad

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Farruk Habib won with 112740 votes

Faisalabad (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader Abid Sher Ali has lost to PTI candidate from NA-108 Faisalabad.

According to unofficial results announced on local tv channels, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Farruk Habib won with 112,740 votes while the PMLN leader could get 111,529 votes.

Polling across the country was held on Wednesday, July 25, for general elections 2018. Polling began at 8am in the morning and concluded at 6pm in the evening.

The nation elected 270 members of the National Assembly and 570 members of all the four provincial assemblies for the next five-year term.

Around 105.95 million eligible voters – 59.22 million male and 46.73 million female – exercised their right to vote to mark another democratic transition from one elected government to another.

About 1,1673 candidates are vying for 270 national and 570 provincial assemblies seats.

According to unofficial results announced so far, Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is in a winning position and is likely to form a majority government.

In what will probably be his victory speech, PTI chairman Imran Khan will address the nation at 4pm today.
