Nawaz Sharif's homecoming: Mobile phone services partially suspended in Lahore

The mobile phone service will remain suspended from 3pm to 11pm in Lahore.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 13th July, 2018) The mobile phone service has started suspending in Lahore in view of the return of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) supremo Nawaz Sharif.

The Interior Ministry has allowed the Punjab government to suspend mobile phone service in the provincial capital ahead of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz’s return.

According to media reports, the mobile phone service has been suspended in areas near Lahore airport.

The mobile phone service will remain suspended from 3pm to 11pm in Lahore.

Meanwhile, the police department has issued a notification to the Punjab district government to house arrest PMLN leaders ahead of Nawaz Sharif’s return.

According to the notification issued by Punjab police, central PMLN leaders, including Khawaja Saad Rafique, Khawaja Salman Rafique, Mian Marghoob, Bilal Yaseen, Saif ul Malook Khokhar, Waheed Alam, Rohail Asghar, Khawaja Imran and Riaz Malik.

According to sources, these PMLN leaders will remain house arrested for 30 days.

The PMLN workers are expected to gather at the Lahore airport to welcome Nawaz Sharif while as of now, there is no such movement on the part of the PMLN workers in view of the arrangements made by the caretaker government to bar them from coming to the airport.

National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) team and the Punjab Government have made arrangements to maintain law and order in the city.

Nawaz Sharif and his daughter are expected to be arrested right from the airport and will be shifted to Adiala Jail.

Moreover, if any of the PMLN candidates tries to protest the arrest, he will be disqualified through the ECP.
