In a drop scene of the matter, Meesha Shafi’s sexual harassment allegations on Ali Zafar turn out to be a drama
Lahore (Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2018) Pakistan’s renowned actress, model and singer Meesha Shafi accused fellow singer Ali Zafar of sexual harassment on microblogging website Twitter on Thursday, sparking a new debate in the country.
In her tweet on Thursday, Meesha Shafi said, “I have been subjected, on more than one occasion, to sexual harassment of physical nature at the hands of a colleague from my industry: Ali Zafar.”
Meesha said that she is sharing this because she believes that by speaking out about her own experience of sexual harassment, she will break the culture of silence that permeates through our society.
Ali Zafar, however, denied the accusations saying that he will take the matter to the court.
Now in a drop scene of the matter, all the allegations by Meesha Shafi turned out to be a drama. According to a report of a tv channel, Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi are judging a music TV show. The recording of eight episodes of the show has been completed while Ali Zafar joined on the 9th episode.
Sources said that Meesha Shafi opposed him for being appointed as a judge. She demanded the show’s producer to pay her just as much as Zafar. However, they refused her demand, saying Ali Zafar is a rockstar and much more famous than her.
Following this, Shafi left the show’s recording and alleged Zafar of sexual harassment in her tweet.
