Says he does not want to talk on the topic
Lahore (Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2018) Pakistan’s renowned actress, model and singer Meesha Shafi accused fellow singer Ali Zafar of sexual harassment on microblogging website Twitter a while ago. She alleged that Ali Zafar harassed her more than once.
According to media reports, when Ali Zafar was contacted to comment on the tweet, he refused to give a response to the allegations. He said that he does not want to talk on the topic.
Meesha Shafi’s tweet has sparked a new debate in showbiz industry while Ali Zafar’s fans are quite surprised on the accusations.
Singer Meesha Shafi has alleged her colleague Ali Zafar for sexual harassment in a tweet on Thursday. Meesha said that she is sharing this because she believes that by speaking out about her own experience of sexual harassment, she will break the culture of silence that permeates through our society.
Using the #Metoo hashtag, Shafi added that it is not easy to speak out but it is harder to stay silent. “My conscience will not allow it anymore,” she added.
