The Department of Theriogenology of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with Society for Animal Reproduction of Pakistan (SARP) arranged concluding ceremony of five-day training workshop on “Reproductive Ultrasonography in Five Species of Domestic Animals” here on Friday

LAHORE (Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2018 ) The Department of Theriogenology of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with Society for Animal Reproduction of Pakistan (SARP) arranged concluding ceremony of five-day training workshop on “Reproductive Ultrasonography in Five Species of Domestic Animals” here on Friday. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha chaired the concluding session of workshop and gave away certificates to the participants while UVAS Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani, Emeritus Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad, Prof Dr Mian Abdul Sattar, Dr Zubair Bari including 32 Veterinary officers and Veterinary Professional Trainers from public & private organizations all over Pakistan were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha lauded organizers to arrange such an informative hands-on training workshop which is necessary for the development of livestock sector even for the uplift of national economy of Pakistan. He hoped that in future the Society for Animal Reproduction of Pakistan (SARP) will also make plan to arrange such mega event on reproduction in Buffalo Research Institute (BRI) at Pattoki. Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad presented the vote of thanks and said such training programmes were necessary for knowledge sharing, skills development and it bring must competency in their professionals work.

The objective of the workshop was to equip the participants with required knowledge and skills to diagnose reproductive issues and to improve farm fertility through ultrasonography. The course aims to enhance participant’s practical knowledge and skills about the use and application of ultrasound in reproductive management of modern dairy.
