The police say victim has leveled allegations against an influential youth, identified as Nadeem, accusing him of the assault
KASUR: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 29th, 2026) A 16-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in the Zaheerabad Colony of Chunian Tehsil, local authorities reported on Monday.
The police said that the victim has leveled allegations against an influential youth, identified as Nadeem, accusing him of the assault.
The incident came to light after the victim's health deteriorated severely following the assault. Police officials revealed that the perpetrators brought the teenager to a private hospital before fleeing the premises to evade arrest. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the medical facility has surfaced, capturing three suspects dropping the girl off and making a swift escape from the scene.
Following her abandonment, the hospital administration contacted the victim’s mother to inform her of the situation. The teenager has since been shifted to the Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) Hospital for emergency medical treatment and formal forensic examination.
Local police have registered a case and initiated a full-scale investigation. Law enforcement personnel are currently conducting raids to apprehend the suspects, utilizing the retrieved CCTV footage to establish identities and track their whereabouts.
